3-night Cruise From Chongqing to Yichang

For the Yangtze Explorer 3-night itinerary, your journey begins at the Chaotianmen Dock in Chongqing.

Boarding is typically scheduled between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Please note that the specific docking location is finalized one day prior to departure. At that time, your cruise or travel advisor will confirm exactly which pier you should proceed to.

Guide to Chaotianmen Dock

Located at the confluence of the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers, Chaotianmen is both a vital transportation hub and an iconic city landmark. The piers in this area are concentrated and categorized by which riverbank they occupy:

• Jialing River Side: Primarily includes Pier 6 and Pier 8.
• Yangtze River Side: Primarily includes Pier 15 and Pier 17, this side also houses Piers 7, 9, 11, 13, and 21.

Note: The Yangzi Explorer usually docks at one of the main piers listed above.

4-night Cruise From Yichang to Chongqing via Badong or Shennongjia

For the Yangzi Explorer 4-night cruise, embarkation usually takes place at Huanglingmiao Pier in Yichang. This pier is located on the southern bank of the Yangtze River, approximately 4 kilometers downstream from the Three Gorges Dam.

Unlike the 3-night cruise departing from Chongqing, this 4-night cruise requires the ship to dock in the waters of Sandouping Town, which is about 50 kilometers from downtown Yichang.

Arrival & Boarding Schedule

Depending on your arrival time at the Yichang meeting point, your schedule will proceed as follows:

Arriving Before 2:00 PM

Guests who reach the meeting point by 2:00 PM may choose one of the following excursions before boarding:

• Option A: A tour of the Three Gorges Dam.
• Option B: A visit to Quyuan Temple and the Hubei Three Gorges Resettlement Museum.

Following the tour, you will transfer to Huanglingmiao Pier to board the Yangtze Explorer at approximately 5:00 PM.

Arriving After 2:00 PM

For guests unable to arrive by 2:00 PM, a direct transfer will be arranged. You will be picked up from Yichang Sanxia Airport or Yichang East Railway Station and driven directly to Huanglingmiao Pier for embarkation.
